The secret of the Panama hat
The famous Panama hat is actually woven in Ecuador. It took the isthmus's name because this is where it was sold to travelers and canal workers.
Touri is your pocket guide to discovering cities on foot. Reach each place, its story opens in audio, and you earn a stamp for your passport.
First stop: Casco Antiguo, Panama More cities coming soon
Walk. Listen. Discover.
Camina. Escucha. Descubre.
Three steps, at your own pace, in every city. No guide with a little flag, no schedule to keep.
The first one is Panama's Casco Antiguo. Download the area before you go and use it offline.
The map lets you know when you are there. Press play and the city tells you what happened on that spot.
Every stop adds a stamp. Solve challenges, level up and keep postcards from your walk.
This is how the launch tour sounds, in Panama's Casco Antiguo. The stories are linked: each one leaves a clue for the next.
Stop 1
This city was born here in 1673, after the pirate Henry Morgan burned the first one. They say some gold was saved from him... and that it is still in the Casco.
Stop 2
After Morgan, the city surrounded itself with walls so it would never happen again. But the secret was already inside, and someone was guarding it.
Stop 3
In the colonial city, the friars kept secrets that were never written down. They say one of them dared to trick the pirate.
Stop 4
Its painted ceiling fools the eye: it looks like an open sky. What if what we are looking for was never hidden, only disguised?
Stop 5
For centuries, everyone walked past this arch without looking at it. The hardest thing to see is what is right in front of you. The ending waits for you at San José.

Yes, to show you on the map and let you know when you reach a place with a story. It uses it while the app is open and, once you start a walk, also in the background, so it can alert you on arrival even with your screen locked (on Android you will see a persistent notification). Never when the app is closed. Alerts when you pass near a story without starting a walk are optional and turned on separately in Settings.
Soon, on the App Store and Google Play. Pre-register and we will tell you that same day.
We reply by email, and soon on WhatsApp and Instagram too. If you are in the middle of a tour and something in the app is not working, write to us as well.
